Royalty is the cut that the collection creators take from each sale. As you are already familiar from Opensea and Blur, collections without royalty give a higher margin for traders. Also in general point farmers prefer collections with no or little royalties.
However, keep in mind that in collections with no royalties it is usually more likely that there is going to be more sales dumped into bids. So in general while bidding on a collection with no royalty it is more likely to get hit but the damage is usually low, in collections with higher royalties it is less likely to get hit (simply because there are fewer sales) but the damage is higher.
Also in collections with no royalty the volume tends to be higher which makes them more appealing to point farmers.

As explained in Tensor Settings section, if your Optional Royalty is set to "None" it will mean that you will not be paying royalties in collections with optional royalties.
